Trails have always been a part of my life. I was fortunate to grow up in a state with plenty of them, Vermont, and a father who frequented them. My love for trail running is two pronged, it provides great memories with friends and has been one place where I can tire out my mind to the point of care free bliss. After graduating the University of Vermont I was lucky to call Carbondale, CO and the Elk Mountains home for 8 years while I was the Associate Publisher and eventual Publisher of Big Stone Publishing, which brought to life both Trail Runner Magazine and Rock and Ice. You will not see my name on any bylines, but I am busy on the back end working on all things business development and brand partnerships. While I secretly wish I was the one creating the content, I find great joy in supporting the talented people I work with by making sure their work is seen by the world and that they get paid! Trail running has given me so much and it’s my goal to help more and more people discover what it can do for them.
Director of Marketing
A native of the Puget Sound region, Annemarie was inspired to adventure at an early age. The beaches, mountains, and forests of the Pacific Northwest encouraged exploration and helped develop a deep love of the outdoors. That same spirit of adventure brought Annemarie to the American Southwest where she fell in love with the canyons and craggy mountains of the wild landscape. Annemarie has spent her career working in various digital marketing, content marketing, producing, editing, and management roles within the outdoor industry. Late in her 20s she fell in love with trail running and has since set her feet to wander whenever she has the opportunity. It was seemingly a matter of fate that brought her onto the team at UltraSignup in early 2023.
